REACHING OUT TO
THOSE
IN NEED OF HELP
The intensity and scope of the problems challenging our society are immense and distressing, but the Student Assistance Training International is providing successful prevention, and early intervention guidance in many corners of the globe. What has happened is proof that one person, properly trained and oriented, can make a difference, not only in a school setting, but in an entire community. The training of teachers, counselors, administrators and community leaders has resulted in important side effects and successes well beyond the original prevention/intervention focus on drugs. Positive changes have been observed and documented in the way adults in education react and relate to their students in every area of human interchange.
